About the Centre
The Mardyke Community Centre is a community resource managed and run by the Mardyke Youth & Community Association. Located within the Beam Park/Orchard Village area, we offer a variety of spaces perfect for your needs.
Our rooms are perfect for:

Fully Accessible
Step-free ramp entry, wheelchair accessible rooms, and disabled toilet with baby changing facilities.
BYOB Friendly
You can bring alcohol to your event as long as you do not charge for it.
Flexible Hours
Hall available up to 11pm on Saturdays and 10pm on other days.
Secure Booking
Refundable deposit returned after event, subject to conditions.

From intimate meetings to large celebrations, we have the perfect space for your needs.
Large Hall
Capacity: 150 persons
One-off Hire Cost:
Up to 5pm – £40 per hour
5pm – 11pm – £280 flat rate
Regular Hire Cost:
£25 per hour
Our main hall offers a large space for functions, celebrations and classes with plenty of tables and chairs. Available until 11pm on Saturdays and 10pm on other days.
Committee Room
Capacity: 12 persons
Hire Cost:
£20 per hour
Perfect for small functions including training, meetings, and social clubs. Set up with central table and chairs to accommodate 12 people.
IT Suite
Capacity: 20 persons
Hire Cost:
£25 per hour
Regular Hire Cost:
£20 per hour
Ideal for training, meetings, and social clubs. Features 19 desktop computers around the edge with central table and chairs setup available.
Consultation Room
Capacity: 3 persons
Hire Cost:
£15 per hour
A private, dedicated space suitable for healthcare professionals, therapists, or confidential interviews. Clean, secure, and designed for privacy.
Important Notes
• Refundable deposit required – returned if hall is left clean, tidy and vacated on time
• Include set up and cleaning times within your booking hours
• We do not provide cleaning equipment, catering service, PA systems, projectors or speakers
• Kitchen is not available for public use
Charity Shop
Supporting the community
We also have a Charity Shop within the Community Centre selling clothes, furniture, toys, books & bric-a-brac. It is manned by volunteers a few days each week. Donations are always welcome! Look out for our “one day clearance sales” for some real bargains.
